Family viewing with Tom & Jerry...

Tom & Jerry: Fur Flying Adventures 2
Available July 5th

There are 14 episodes of Tom & Jerry on this hour long DVD.
I love the antics of Tom & Jerry-I also really like how they are usually isn't any talking during the episodes-it really leaves things open to your imagination and really you don't even notice it!

This is a great collection to enjoy with the whole family.  I was watching this with my husband, his favorite episode was The Declaration of Independunce.

"That rip-roaring animated duo is back in action on Tom and Jerry: Fur Flying Adventures V2, a fun-filled release comprised of several beloved shorts directed by such animation greats as Hanna-Barbera, Chuck Jones and others. In Tops With Pops, Tom and Jerry come across a very grumpy Spike the dog and his adorable pup, Tyke. Tom is turned into a werewolf cat on Monster Con.  The tussling twosome conducts an orchestra in Tom and Jerry in the Hollywood Bowl. On Saturday Evening Puss, Jerry’s beauty sleep is interrupted when Tom invites his buddies over for a party that includes plenty of loud music. In Snowbody Loves Me, Jerry takes refuge from the snow by hiding in a shop filled with delicious cheese. Tom is a servant to a witch who needs a mouse to complete her magic potion in Which Witch.

Other featured shorts include Of Feline Bondage, The A-Tom-inable Snowman, Surf-Bored Cat, Duel Personality, Is There a Doctor in the Mouse?, Haunted Mouse, The Declaration of Independunce and Kitty Hawked.

Originally created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, Tom and Jerry emerged during Hollywood’s golden age of animation and became one of the most popular cartoon series in existence. The shorts focus on the never-ending rivalry between Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse. The plots of each short usually center on Tom’s attempts to capture Jerry. Jerry however, is clever and quick on his feet so Tom hardly ever manages to catch him.

“This is an entertaining collection of newer and classic Tom and Jerry shorts that we have put together specifically to appeal to a younger audience,” said Jeff Brown, WHV Executive Vice President and GM of Non-Theatrical Franchise. He added, “Kids of all ages love Tom and Jerry because the premise of each cartoon is conveyed through the use of images and music, and not words, so even very young children can appreciate these cartoons. We think fans will embrace this volume of the Fur Flying Adventures series and they’ll look forward to future installments of it.”"

Tom & Jerry: Fur Flying Adventures 2 is avaliable for pre-order now!

Love The Smurfs? Share them with your family!

Smurfs: A Magical Smurf Adventure

I love being able to share programs I watched when I was little with the children I work with and with my nephews and neice.  I watched The Smurfs: A Magical Smurf Adventure with my niece this week.

What a fun blast from the past!  This DVD has 2 Discs that have 10 episodes:

Smurf Van Winkle, Revenge of the Smurfs, Magic Fountain, Smurf Me No Flowers, The Cursed Country, The Blue Plague, The Ring of Castellac, A Mere Truffle, Gormandizing Greedy and Sister Smurf.

I remember a number of them from when I was little.  I think my neice really liked the different voices of all the characters.

This DVD will be released on July 19th, you can pre-order now for $15.99!

"Produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, The Smurfs originally premiered as part of NBC’s Saturday morning programming lineup. The Emmy® Award winning series ran for nine seasons on NBC earning a 42% share of the U.S. Saturday morning audience. "
