Bring along your BUZZY Taking the Sting out of Shots kit! The BUZZY has a really neat fits in your palm plastic bee that you can turn on and it vibrates and buzzes! It is meant to distract your child while shots are being given. Originally it looks like a bee but it also comes with 21 alternative stickers that can go on your buzzy,maybe you want an astronaut, pirate or cow instead-the stickers are very cute.
The BUZZY is curved so it lays on the appendage that is getting the shot-it even comes with a small ice pack the will lay under it and looks like wings.
In the BUZZY there is a slotted area that you can put a card in (some come with the kit). There are counting tasks, searching cards and more-all activities that can keep your child distracted.
The BUZZY kit comes with a bunch of band aids and some bee bravery stickers.
I have been with my sister and niece a few times, the first time I was the one designated to keep my nieces lags pinned down while the shots were being administered-not fun and boy did she scream! The the BUZZY arrived...the next trip was much better, we used the BUZZY and a great distraction-she is too young for the cards but liked looking at the colors and the vibrating BUZZY was a great distraction. The nurse was very curious about the BUZZY as well-she thought it was a great idea!
