We were very lucky to have the chance to talk to Peter Facinelli along with a number of other My City Mommies! I had no idea he was such a family man and so commited to our planet earth! I am such a fan of him on Nurse Jackie, that I was starstruck to be able to talk to him on the phone! The best thing is...he's so down to earth! Love that!

Did you know that some national and state parks are closing because we don't visit them? It is terrible to think about! Especially since they are such an affordable way to spend quality family time! Nowadays, I knowwe are pinching pennies and I am sure your families are too! What a great way to, in a sense, pay it forward to our communities...and to our earth!
There are great ways to enjoy the parks! It is very easy to volunteer...you can make it a fun family outing or do so with just your spouse...I know my family loves to camp. We tend to visit a park at least twice a year to do a nice camping adventure...I say adventure because you never know what you'll get with four kids at your heels! There are many hiking trails at the parks that you can enjoy as well.
Did you know that you can install solar panels on an RV? What a great way to conserve energy...and save money while you're at it!
We can not stress enough the importance of recycling. Recycle for our future!
Clean up after yourself-and better yet-leave a place better than when you arrived! I know in my family, we stress the importance of cleaning up after yourselves...especially in nature! We are always teaching the kids about how important our parks are and how they wouldn't be here if we didn't take good care of them...pass that along to your families as well!
