Jimmy Dean Breakfast Quesadillas Review and Giveaway ENDS 5/12/12

Spring is just around the corner, so it’s time to switch out that dull breakfast with something that’s as festive as the season, yet still quick and easy to make. We were lucky enough to be able to review the Jimmy Dean Delights Turkey Sausage Quesadilla.  With such a busy family, always on the go, we wanted something quick, easy, and lighter than the average "on the go" breakfast.  These delicious breakfast treats are filled with egg whites, cheese, and turkey sausage for a great well-rounded breakfast option.  I had one for breakfast this morning and thought it was rather delicious and even my two year old enjoyed taking a few bites!  Each package comes with two quesadillas.  I highly recommend them for a great breakfast as the busy summer months are approaching and you will be on the go...A LOT!

I was also lucky enough to try the Sausage Quesadilla which I found quite tasty, but not as healthy as the other Quesadilla Delights.  I made one for my husband before he left for work the other morning.  He really liked it...best part?  He loved that I could zap it in the microwave and he could enjoy the deliciousness on his way to work!  I tried a bite, but due to my current regimented diet given to me at my last doctor's appointment, I wasn't able to eat much.  Hence the reason I was so happy to see that Jimmy Dean's had the Delights lighter option!

Both of these new options are very good and very quick and easy...making for a less stressful morning routine when we are in a rush!

Taboo Fun Family Game Giveaway 2/16/12

TABOO, everyone’s favorite game of forbidden words, has gotten a makeover in 2011! Now with a new, sleek look, game changing die and hysterical “Uh-Oh!” buzzer sound, players will frantically try to get their teammates to guess the winning word without using the Taboo words and phrases on their card.

How do you get your team to say the word “heart throb” without saying “teenage,” “idol,” “star” or “movies”? With more than 1,000 words for players to try to guess, the “unspeakable” fun can continue for hours.

Game Objective:

Be the team with the most points at the end of the game.

Game Play:

Each player helps the team guess a specific word on a card without using the words that are off limits.

Be careful. Opponents will be listening for the TABOO words that can’t be used in game play. Each time a team hears a TABOO word they can sound the new “Uh-Oh!” buzzer, signaling that the opposing team’s turn is up! But if team members guess the word before the buzzer sounds, a point is won.  And now a new game changing die adds even more excitement to the game, forcing players to do things like not speak or use their hands on their turn!

Chase Away the Sun Review and Giveaway Ends 2/3/12

Have you heard of Chase Away the Sun?  With four kids we have had tons of problems with the sun coming into the car and getting into the kid's eyes.  I recently got this awesome Chase Away the Sun product to review.  It was easy to set up with velcro that attaches to the headrests in the front seats.  We put it up and adjusted our mirror, so that we could see over it, and we were set!   It's very effective in keeping the sun out of my children's eyes.  No more unexpected screaming on our car rides as we travel.  We used it on our ride to Minnesota and it worked perfectly.  I got the dinosaur pattern as my sons are dinosaur nuts...they were so excited.  It even made for some unexpected game play!  They went through and "counted" the dinosaurs, picked out their favorites, and played shout out where they each shouted out a different color they saw on the dinosaurs.  There are many different patterns to choose from as well as a couple different sizes to accomodate your vehicle needs.

Recordable storybooks from Hallmark make excellent gifts!  I was able to get the Hallmark:  A Charlie Brown Christmas Recordable Storybook, it is a great adaptation of the Charlie Brown story you know and love.  My husband and I have started reading it so we can record it for my niece.  I know it is going to be a great memento for years to come.  The recordable book is easy to use and re-record if you goof up a word-which happened to us a few times already.  I love that there is music with this book!

Coffee Mate Review and Giveaway ENDS 10/1/11 11:59pm CST

I was able to review some delicious Nestle Coffee-mate.

I used one of the recipes that was sent along, Iced Cappuccino.

Here is the recipe...

Ice Cubes

1/3 cup 1% milk 

1 shot (1 ounce) espresso (I went to my local coffee drive thru and bought a shot, I was told you can also make a STRONG coffee once-I tried it-it was also very good)

2 tablespoons Cafe Latte Flavor Nestle Coffee-mate Liquid Coffee Creamer

Fill glass with ice, top with milk, espresso an Coffee-mate.

This makes one serving.

I really like cappuccino but honestly never had iced cappuccino-it was VERY good.  Like I mentioned above I bought a shot of espresso and made the above recipe but I also brewed a small strong once of coffee and it was also very good-it had a little more of a subtle flavor but still excellent.

 I have found a great way to save some money while still enjoying a great coffee treat!  I am excited to try more Coffee-mate flavors.

This Iced Cappuccino with Cafe Latte Flavor Nestle Coffee-mate Liquid Coffee Creamer was great, I had a friend over the other day and they were jealous of the beverage I can now make at home (I gave her the recipe).

Red Baron Pizza Review and Giveaway ENDS 9/5/11

Red Baron and Howie Mandel have teamed up for a new online video series to pit delivery pizza and Red Baron  head-to-head to show Americans which pan pizza option is the “Real Deal” when it comes to quality, taste and convenience. You can watch Howie in action with these five videos on facebook.

We picked up a Classic Crust Sausage and Pepperoni Pizza.  I have found that a frozen pizza turns out best when it is baked directly on the oven rack, it always leads to a crisp crust.  This was no exception, the classic crust made a nice crackling sound when I cut it.  The cheese was meltey and stringey, and the pepperoni had a nice little spicy kick to it.  The pizza was quite tasty and very filling.  I have purchased Red Baron in the past and will continue to do so in the future.
